• Role of the Head of the Dept. as well as takes upon himself, the responsibility of training & developing the people for better performance in the present job and preparing them for taking-up higher responsibilities in future. • Identifies reasons for low productivity & defectives and takes necessary corrective action. • Conducts daily checks for necessary action on :- (a) Shift reports (alongwith the shift-in-charges) (b) Production & quality reports (c) Hank efficiency (d) Idle spindle (e) Labour deployment & overtime (f) Humidity (g) Break-downs & machine stoppages. • Prepare Targets for various performance indicators in line with Company’s/ Unit’s goal, Action Plan, implementation and its periodic review. • Prepare Annual Budgets for various Cost Indicators of the department. • Monitor inventories of process as well as stores/spares.• Prepare Capex Plans towards Capital Goods to meet quality, productivity due to changes in market forces. • Take feedback from section in charge regarding various activities of the department and analyze it. • Take feedback from internal customer for continual improvement in product quality. • Check all reports of the department and if any abnormality then talk to concerned section in-charge. • Guiding maintenance in-charge to develop new spare parts for better functioning of the machines. • Release Purchase requisition after proper verification in consultation with maintenance in-charge. • Check and approve GRR after confirmation from maintenance in-charge. • Identifies reason for low productivity and defectives and takes corrective action in consultation with respective section in-charge. • Attend meeting at dyeing on daily basis. • Co-ordinates with SCM, designing and other service departments like Engineering, Stores Purchase, Quality Control and outside suppliers etc. as and when necessary on daily basis. • Meeting with officers daily regarding material flow and other department related topics. • Conceives and develops plans and measures for improving the existing standards of productivity, quality and its implementation in consultation with all officers. • Counselling of workmen and Officers to minimize IR issues. • Set and Review KRA of self and subordinates by discussion with seniors and Subordinate. Make action plan and follow up to achieve goals. • Evaluate the performance of Subordinates.
• Attend Daily perch meeting, BM meeting, Weekly production meeting and meetings with seniors and top management as and when required. Give required feedback to all concerned, make action plan and follow up for implementation. • Strictly adhering to Quality control and safety. • Analyze and solve day to day working problems and give feedback to higher authorities and Concerned. • Implementation and follow up of QMS , EMS, EnMS and OHSAS standard and requirement.
• Conduct daily and monthly Departmental meeting with section in charge & officer and discuss day to day production plan , productivity , quality & waste % , TOC system follow up , action taken report and plan for further improvement. • Make leave plan of officers and approve the same in system. • Follows-up the SCM programme for day to day smooth functioning of all the processes & accommodates changes as required. • Plans & executes delivery schedules as per SCM programme. • Co-ordinates with Manager (Quality).
• Attends spinning faults in fabric & take necessary preventive/remedial action. • Handles and solves day to day labour problems and refers the complicated cases to appropriate authorities. • Ensures general cleanliness, housekeeping & safety of the dept. • Carries out any other duty or duties assigned by the Management
